Floaters

Today on my morning walk, I looked out across the field surrounding the walking track and was annoyed that the beauty of the morning was interrupted by visual floaters.  Those blotty spots that look like a gnat is in your eye that float around and obscure your view.

I had just started my prayers and was on the hallowing of God's name when my ADD kicked in because of the visual interruption.  As I kicked back into spiritual mode, I bagan praising God for His greatness even when I couldn't see it.

I got a little tickled as I realized the circumstances going on in my life causing me to wane in my faith and blur my true vision of His greatness were like my floaters.  The floaters are real and my murky

vision is real, but the truth of the greatness of God is a constant reality whether I clearly see it or not.

To live in a world with a different system constantly presenting distorted values,  principles and philosophies can blur my  view of truth making it tough to walk in pure faith.    Truth gets blurry like my floater- tainted vision.  Reduced to sound bytes and quippy memes.  A greater perspective is lost.

Clear vision, pure faith and steady following come from a deeper delving into the reality found in God's Word.  Vision is corrected and distortion is refined when we look at greater truth.
